I worry that 2 1/2 yo Emmett will have a heart attack when I vacuum! His
happy almond-eyes turn round and fearful, he trembles and hides under his
mattress, shaking, until I'm through and he gets a cuddle and some ferretone.
At first I left him in the room to desensitize him; next I moved him to
the kitchen; now I put him in the back bedroom with the door closed and he
still panics.
The first vacuum cleaner burned up and, when I walked in with the replace-
ment, he took one look, classified it (smart guy!)--and hid!
The Dustbuster doesn't faze him--but I cannot do a whole room with it
My other ferret Shasta wasn't as terrified as Em--can anybody out there
help please? Thanx! Kate Pappas
