Just had to share this:

I was in quite a state yesterday when my 80 meg external hard drive failed,
as it contained many important documents and had not been backed up in a few
weeks. No head crashes or stuck platters, just wouldn't spin up and maintain
proper speed. Well, after taking a lot of it apart, checking various
connections and generally spending much more time than I wanted to trying to
get the darn thing to work, I was just about ready to give up. (Don't try
this at home, folks. I was an MIS for years before starting to practice law.)

In trots Billy. He likes using the space under my computer desk for certain
special parts of his stash, like his crocheted rattle. My wife accompanied
him in, noticed that he wanted to see what was going on on top of the
computer desk, and picked him up. Jokingly, she said, "Let's see if Billy can
fix it!" She held him so that he could touch the top of the hard drive case
with his paws. (It was unplugged, don't worry!) We put him back on the floor,
I plugged the sucker back in, turned it on, and darned if it didn't spin
right up to proper speed!

Billy trotted out of the room, proud of his accomplishment, found where
Malachai was napping, and went right to sleep, exhausted from his hard work.

Let's hear it for ferret power!

Bob
