Excerpts from FML 1226:
> Turns out that we have an old banjo wall clock that strikes the hour
> and the mechanism that keeps track of how many times to strike was ahead of
> the time shown by the hands. Thus at two it was striking four times. We
> reset that, and this morning squeekers showed up at ten minutes to four,
> right on time.
!!!! Way cool!! Actually, it's not that he can tell time, it's that he
can COUNT!!! I think this is a very telling example of ferret
intelligence. :) I know studies have been done to see how high various
animals can count ... chickens, various other birds, monkeys, etc. ...
has anyone done this with ferrets? :) (I've never heard of it) :)
