The CBS morning show did its best to dipict ferret owners and their supporters
as crazed radicals and paraded a girl who claims that her face was chewed up
by a ferret to make things worse for the fight to legalize them.  The National
Humane Society called for ferrets to be made illegal in other states by stating
they should follow California's lead.
At least the ferrets they showed looked cute...I do wish they had aired either
the researched facts I brought or at least showed the interview with the vet or
at least, if nothing else, pointed out that as long as ferrets are illegal, then
many will never recieve proper vet care or be vacinated due to fear of being
turning in.  They also never mentioned the amount of serious or deadly dog
attacks compared to ferret bites when parading their poster girl around..
 
Maybe, if we are lucky, NBC or ABC..or even FOX will offer to present
pro-ferret stuff..In the day of tabloid TV and the media's support of rabid
animal rights groups who don't want people to have pets, I doubt they will..
