Your friends ferret is not alone in drinking urine.  Quite a few ferrets
actually do it.  As far as I can tell, it is not related to any medical
problem in ferrets,although it has been linked to several disease states in
dogs and cats.  At this point, I consider it more of a vice than a symptom of
disease.  Not an especially pleasant activity for a kissing ferret....
