Chris,
About Scooter's biting, first you want to make sure you don't put
him down when he bites or give into him in any way when he nips at
you so you don't inadvertently teach him to bite to get his way,.
But, I think you may already know that. Secondly, someone once told
me when a ferret bites you, kiss it several times on the nose real
quick. It takes their breath away and kind of stuns them. I tried it
on one of my kits and it worked. She would just freeze and look at
me with this perplexed expression on her face. It worked much better
than thumping her on the nose or even biting her back. Just make
sure you wrap your hand around his head when you do it so he can't
take a nip at your mouth. She learned not to bite much quicker this
way.
