one Monday I came home to find husband and child glumly putting on
jackets, setting out to look for the (brand-new) bottle of hairspray
child said she'd wrapped in her towel and taken to the neighborhood
pool. They returned silent and empty-handed, husband no doubt unhappy
because he'd just bought the hairspray, child no doubt unhappy because
she'd have to survive for an entire week with mousse alone.
  You know "The Rest of the Story"--came time to do the weekly vacuuming
and check under "Emmett's Chair." There, lovingly nestled among the sock-
bops, was a brand-new bottle of Suave hair spray (fortunately with the
cap firmly affixed)
  He must have worked *hard* to get that fat pink plastic bottle all the
way back under the chair! He must have been quite proud of himself. . .
  So my question to the list is: What is the most amazing thing your
"little fur thieves" have stolen from you-all? (I heard of one ferret
who took someone's dentures and another who made off with laundry)
