Hello, we have a problem that I am hoping that someone
else has had and can help us alleviate. Well, we have
3 pretty docile critters (except during raisan time
and kill the bag time) who are confined in the
living room by two baby gates with cardboard on them
(so they do not climb the grating). Well, we
merrily bound over them to get to the rest of the
apartment, and have been doing so for over 5 months.
Well, Sparky, our 11 month old male, also wants
to follow us, so he has taken to leaping. (golly
Batman, leaping ferrets). Well, he now jumps up to
the top of the gate and gets over. that is fine, excepts
he then goes on to uproot all the plants in the rest
of the house. Then, to make matters worse, he will
go back into the living room and pretend he was
asleep. It took us two nights of staying up and
hiding to catch him doing it. So, until we come up
with a solution, he is confined to the cage at night
and when we are gone. Does anyone have any ideas?
Those darn baby gates are about 2 feet tall as it is.
We thought him too stupid to learn to do this (he is
still scared of luggage for some reason -- he runs
and hides when we come home with any large bags).
Well, hopefully we can figure something out soon, boy
does he hate that cage!! (I swear he is going to
break off his teeth biting through that cage).
Thanks in advance for any help,
Susan, Darel, Sparky, Roo, Boing
