It was a week this past Friday when we stopped into the pet store at a
local mall, just to look at the slinkies.  Picked up an 8 week-old male
and couldn't put him down!  I know you ALL know how that is!  8-)
So, our new little guy is adapting to his new home, of course his older
sisters (Weasie & Farrah) pick on him a bit but he's slowly starting
to hold his own and is even starting to instigate a bit himself by hiding
between the sofa and end table and darting out to tackle anyone (ferret or
human) who ventures by his cave, I'm beginning to think he was a moray eel
in a past life! 8-)
 
Up until now I've kept him in a separate cage but the cages are side by side.
We've only let all three out to play at the same time when we could be there
to supervise them, since the play gets a little rough at times. Like seeing
Dakota on his back being dragged across the floor by the scruff of the neck!
But as I said, he is started to defend himself now and they appear to be
going through the usual ferret-play (wrestling,chasing,hide & seek). I'm
starting to put Dakota in the big cage while we can watch just to be sure
there are no serious squabbles and hopefully they'll all be living happily
ever after in the same cage.
 
Well, that's about all for now, just wanted to post our "birth announcement"!
We'll have another birth announcement mid-summer! That one won't be from the
pet store though!   8-)
