I used to hear that when a ferret reached age 3, you should switch them from
kitten food to cat food to make digestion easier for them.  Is this still
standard practice?  I suddenly realized last night that my eldest is now 3;
but I can't imagine how I could switch Shadow's food without also switching
Fezzik's (who is only 5 1/2 months).  Whatever is there, they'd both eat.
 
What do you guys out there do?  Is it really still considered necessary/good
to switch foods when a ferret becomes "geriatric"?  (She's not having any
medical problems that would require the switch or anything).  (I'm feeding them
Iams, by the way -- right now, a mix of the old and new versions....)
