Angi -- I am not so sure about the fish meal,
but, I will swear by Iams for several reasons. The
first is our ferret Boing. When we got her this
past fall, she was lacking energy and her coat
was quite disgusting (coarse, patchy, dry skin, etc).
We kept her on Iams and now she has tons of energy
(almost too much :) and her coat feels like a
rabbit. She does not smell too bad (mainly because
I think, she is not scratching herself) and she is
a joy to be around. The other reasons are the 3
recent adoptees (which are still available!). For
the past 2-3 weeks, they have been on Iams and they
have gained weight and have started feeling soft, too.

Just for their coat and their seemingly better attitude,
I will always feed my ferrets Iams.

Susan
