I just saw a TV show that everyone might enjoy. The series is
"New Wilderness" and the episode is something like "Death of a
Forest". There's a lot of really good polecat footage in it.
Probably more than "The Cat That Came In From the Cold" which is
almost entirely about a polecat family.
(I forgot to mention, it's on the A&E channel -- I don't know if
any non-cable channels carry it.)
It has a lot of footage of baby polecats, polecats hunting, even
an "edge of your seat" bout between a polecat and a poisonous
snake. It's a really good view of our furries' cousins.
[Is this the one with Lorne Greene (the father in Bonanza) narrating?
Much as I admire this fellow Canadian's work, this series is more than
a bit excessive in staged melodrama. Even worse than Wild Kingdom.
However, I don't remember seeing this episode (what can I say,
Gregory likes it ;-). Did anybody tape it? It's on CBC here I think.]
