Sorry to everyone about being a few days behind, but I'm trying to catch up...
To James Storm:
>... Teddy appeared to have a broken front canine. It appears that only
>about 1/8" or less is missing. The rest of the tooth is darker than her
>others, but just slightly. it. There appears to be no pain, no difficulty

James - while discoloration is a sign that a tooth may be devitalized,
you are right on the other signs - pain, difficulty eating, (and discharge
from around the tooth or through adjacent skin) - and if there isn't much
else going on, let's just watch it for now. Ferrets have lots of broken
teeth, especially canines, but few problems as a result.
