To Chris and Scooter -
Yes, you can transmit colds to and from your ferret. In ferrets, colds
and flu are generally somewhat more severe and tend to last longer than they do
in humans, but are not life-threatening. For most cases, good food, water, and
rest is what the doctor orders. For more severe cases, decongestants and
anitbiotics to prevent secondary bacterial infections may be considered. But it
sounds like Scooter should rapidly be on the mend.
