I'm so sorry I haven't been able to thank all of you for your enormous
kindness, empathy, and aid since my Frieda-Weasel's death until now. I am
running my own small business, and have been up to _here_ with tax-related
matters, as well as sick on and off (aftermath of flu?) much of the time.
I've also had several projects going. So I've been too swamped to reply. I
finally got a little $lack and decided to reply to all of you as soon as
possible and let you know how much I have appreciated your help!
I thought by now a friend would be taking me down to Ferrets NW, Tacoma to
try to pick up a new weasel, but so far that hasn't materialized. I have
contacted Ed Lipinski over at Ferrets NW, Mercer Island, and he has told me
that as soon as a ferret is available, he'll call me. I told him I wanted
"the first one by the door," as long as it was young and healthy -- even if
it were missing a paw or something. "The one who needs a home most." So if
nothing else materializes, that's where my new baby will come from.
In the meantime, my friends here, who have two ferrets themselves, and I have
begun to joke about going down to "Weasels 'R' Us Tacoma" or "The New & Used
Weasel-Lot," etc -- well, it helps to pass the time until I have my new
furry!
Anyway, thank you all again, so very, very much for all your help. I feel so
bad about not getting back to you sooner. I'll let you know as soon as I
have a line on a new weasel -- or, with luck, have him or her already home
with me! Take care, always, the blessings of Furrick upon you, Yael Dragwyla
