In response to the 98.75% ferret trouble rule: Well the 1.25%
caught up with me this past weekend. The maintenance people
in my apartment complex were working on my apartment last
Friday. When they left, they did not cover up a 6in square
hole they used to access some pipes.... Well, I didn't realize
this, and let my ferrets out... I'm sure you know what happened
next. The next morning I couldn't find either ferret, until I
found the hole. Then I coaxed one of them out. The other has
been running around in the walls of the two story complex all
weekend. I'm sure he will come out some time. I've left a lot
of food in the access holes of a few of the apartments, so he
has stuff to eat , but he may be living off of mice as well. :)
When I left the maintence staff were running from one apartment to
the next listening for noises, trying to track him down. The worse
part is that this is the stone deaf ferret....

Hopefully, there will be some good news when I go home this afternoon.
I told the maintence people that when he comes out, give him food,
let him devour it, *then* try to pick him up. No telling what state
of ferret-mind he is in.

Darel (praying for good news, and wishing that darn thesis defense was
not scheduled for today)
