Has anyone seen a commercial "Habittrail" type product for ferrets?
 
[Try large diameter plastic drain pipe.  Ie: 4" ABS black plastic.  Clear
is apparently available but hideously expensive.  You could always try
perforated and corrugated drainage pipe - would give them something to
climb on.]
