This letter is submitted as evidence:
Dear Mom,
We respectfully request that you arrange for us as soon as possible
to visit Norm and Ralph in Massachusetts. We need to have a meeting to
organize a union for hard hat-wearing ferrets in order to fight for better
working conditions and lots of breaks for naps.
You managers just don't understand the rigors we endure in
completing such tasks as hauling heavy objects, uprooting plants and
redistributing the soil, building and inspecting tunnels, sorting
through trash before it is dumped into landfills so it meets EPA
regulations, and testing the strength of furniture and floor coverings
so it can be accurately assessed and documented in Consumer Reports
magazine. This is hard work and after a while, we get very sleepy!
In addition to hard hats fitted with halogen lamps, we also
must have steel-toed shoes and Ferretone-dispensing snack machines. We will
discuss these things, along with breaks for naps, during the next round
of contract negotiations. It is therefore imperative that we hold our
first organizational meeting so we can prepare for our talks with
management.
Please have your secretary notify us when our airplane tickets
are ready.
Thank you in advance.
