Hi Chris!

My name is Miran Fernandez, I am 27, a Network Engineer at Boston University,
and a first time, new ferret owner!! I had often thought of getting a ferret,
and came across v1.1 of the Ferret FAQ last month. I pretty much used it to
get me prepared to get a ferret. I'm not sure who to thank for the FAQ, but
would you please pass along to the folks who worked on it that it is really
well planned, thought out, and good reading (at least I thought so). So.... I
got a sable colored, 7 week old male who has already been fixed, and descented.

Gizmo (his new name) is really cool, but I thought I would point out that it
would be nice to include more info on raising kits in the FAQ. I have so many
questions.... I know that he is supposed to sleep alot, but how long will this
phase last for? How about feeding him... I know that he is a growing baby, so
should I just keep his bowl full? I guess I'm just a little nervous about
making sure that don't do anything wrong.......

Oh yeah, before I forget, could you please subscribe me to the Ferret Mailing
List? Thanks......

Also.... for the benefit of the FAQ, I will be traveling shortly, and already
found out that most airline carriers now consider ferrets to be domestic
animals. As such, most will allow one domestic animal carry on kennel in the
cabin per flight (at a nominal charge of approx $45 each way).

Gee... I don't mean to pound you with questions, since I'm sure you have other
things to do.... its just that I guess I'm a little excited to have a ferret!

Thanks again!!
