Greetings!
My carpet sharks are due for their distemper vaccinations, and I was
wondering if it's safe to go to the vet to get them, as I would hate
to expose them to something in the process. Also, what was the name
of the preferred vaccine? I'd want to be sure they get the good
stuff.
[Either Fervac or Fromm-D. It's safe, because even if exposed *during*
the visit, the vaccination will usually take precedence.]
I'm located in south-central Wisconsin, and don't know if the distemper
reached this far, but I'm a bit paranoid about exposing my beasties to
anything, I'm sure you all understand.
[Haven't heard anything about it recently. May simply have been that one
major case.]
Thanks,
Dave Hinz
P.S. How about a discussion of toys that ferrets find amusing? I'm
running out of ideas!
