Pam Greene's current Ferret FAQS is WONDERFUL (worth shouting about). So
far we've gotten about 30 copies out to vets, humane organizations, pet
shops, reporters (which has led to it being the basis for at least one
cuddly ferret piece planned for a state wide paper), breeders, and UFO.
Here's a touch more shouting: IF EVERYONE ON THE LIST COULD DISTRIBUTE AT
LEAST 5 COPIES THAT COULD HELP FERRETS A GREAT DEAL.

Chris, 1000 thanks in advance. We'll miss you so you had better remain a
member. We could do with Pat's comments, too. And hi, Gregory.

Bill, long experience makes us grateful that you'll be taking on the list.
BTW, Have you any news on NYC FoF's Xmas/holiday cards for 1994? We need to
get maybe 100 more.

Judy, our sympathies.

Troy Lynn, You are obviously very worried. It's not like you to slam rabies
shedding studies since they can save ferrets and help those who ferret's
daily heal with kisses and hugs. Haleakala had her multiple (like Chris'
Toby) sets removed successfully at Vixen's age so we wish her the luck of
Hale.

I seem to recall that you have a compilation of rabies data available but
don't have your snail mail address or the cost.

Eye to Eye with Connie Chung got to the point where they were researching
the McDowell story but decided to not do it. They were extremely
cooperative and considerate and deserve kudos.

Deborah, our hopes go with your guys. Hjalmar had a R adrenal successfully
removed (but it was malignant) by Hanan Caine of Basking Ridge Animal
Hospital here in N.J. who did his exotics specialization with the AMC in
NYC. Before then he was on lysodren with great results. Insulinoma is
often even more treatable. Pam Greene or Bruce can pass on Bruce William's
excellent FAQS on them. Both are dolls that way. We've not seen an
insulinoma (even in Hjalmar's autopsy) since our guys have had regular
brewer's yeast -- they prefer Schiff powder with water. Hope never to
again, but are happy for all the progress in that regard over the last few
years.

Steve and I are both allergic to whole males but no other ferrets.

Bruce, many thanks again for the work you did on Ruffle's growths and for
the glad tidings. She is recovering beautifully, rolling over on command,
adoring her new toy ferret, and about to be annoyed with us for starting her
on a Pro Plan lower fat diet. We're behind in photo taking but when we
catch up would you like to see what a long-haired, kissy, achondroplasic
dwarf, intellectually challenged, asthmatic 4 year old looks like?

]ark, yes, Utah has its problems --looks like some taxonomic ignorance and
bias are among them. Are you SLC? On the hill?

Our guys who wag have always been joyful waggers -- especially during tube
game or hide and seek.

Try filling a shower stall with ping pong balls and adding ferrets!

Love, Sukie, Steve, Meltdown, Ruffle, 'Chopper the ferret helicopter, Spot,
and Meeteetsee of NPR ATC fame
