OK! back to the old meanie Zelda! god love her, but she did have an
attitude!!! BA!!!! she would greet people, friendly enough. the kisses.
OH! just as nice as could be ....CHOMP!!!!! she did this even to me for
a while until i broke her of it. if you jerked, when she bit, yes she drew
blood. (Otto sounds like Zelda. he also probably hasn't been handled much)
Arabella would mistake a finger for a piece of chicken and wouldn't let go.
yes i was eating chicken at the time and offered her a piece. she tried for
the wrong thing.
Adrianne, well i made the mistake of playing fingers with her. she never
got out of the habbit of playbiting them, sometimes a bit rough. but she
was a people. she even wore make-up.
(the sweetie in the cage probably thought you were playing)
Ariel (sort of the first, but not long) was a holy terror
AAAAaaarrrrgggg!!!!!!! wasn't friendly, tore up the bathroom, tried to
dig through the flooring. yes past the carpeting.
the real Ariel was a shy thing. i got her when she was 6 months old. took
forever to get her out of her shell.
Missy loved every body. i wouldnt suggest naming one with lots of 's's in
the name. too much like hissing.
Bell (the itenerate) and Pigtails (also itenerate) were just as sweet and
loveable as pie!
Zephyr is my present little dream boat.
the prefered time to get a ferret is when they are about 6-10 weeks old.
they bond better! i keep mine caged for 3-14 days depending on the sweetie.
of course letting them out to play when i am home, but sort of keep an eye
on and play with them bunches!!!!!!! if they are older, they still bond,
but sometimes it takes longer. interaction is a MUST!!!!!!
18 years as a ferret owner. hope to tripple that!
kathy.
