Hi, My name is Dale Boone. I've been a longtime reader of FML. (Roger Mc used
to forward copies to me until I started downloading them from Ferret Forum's
Database. I recently moved back to Chicago and found an e-mail outlet for
internet.  I have four critters.
 Anubis - (Nubie) Albino Female
 Alpha - Black Sable Male
 Charm - Sable Female
 Quark - Sterling Silver Male
 
        Recently, on a trip back from Gurnee Mills (a shopping center north of
Chicago) I stopped in a PetZazz store to pick up some food for my clan and
there was a booth set up  by one of the local ferret shelters. They had
information on ferrets, their organization and had about a half dozen or so
ferrets there. I thought it was just to show people what they looked like and
give them a chance to handle one until another customer actually adopted one
right there in the store. Pretty convenient, I thought, except that the re was
virtually no screening of the adopter. Just fill out the form and write a
check. I thought there should have been more, but I didn't say anything, just
picked up some literature and left.
 
In case you're wondering, I do not yet belong to a ferret association, but I
am joining one as soon as NASA send me my check.
