|Subject: Allergies

|Ferret allergens are not included in the standard allergy test battery.
 
 
Having many allergies, I was worried about ferrets.  I have yet
to meet an allergist with a ferret allergy test, apparently it
doesn't exist (yet :).  In my case, the allergist had me get
some ferret hair from a pet store, then he injected some of
the solution they use for testing allergies (without any
other allergens in it) through the ferret hair into my skin.
 
Luckily nothing happened, and my ferrets and I get along great :)
