Hello out there, I just got a call from the vet
and found out that our little girl, Roo, the one
that I wrote about being lethargic, probably has
the lymph cancer (sorry for not knowing the name,
but I was/is distressed about the situation). So,
that was seen from the blood work done this morning
(high lymph count and weird lymph cells as well
as low white blood cell count). We are going
to have surgery on her to remove the gland behind
the knee to get a better diagnosis. Has anyone had
this done to their ferret? And, Dr. Williams, what
is your address (I tossed it, assuming that my
ferrets would never need it) and can I send this
gland to you for a biopsy? Do you need anything
else? Or, do you also do bloodwork?
How are those owners with ferrets having various cancers
getting along? I know a lot of people talked about it
before, but I don't want to tie up this newsletter, so
if you could, just send them directly to me.
Thanks a lot for your help,
Susan and Darel and Roo (the angel) and Boing and Sparky
