Hi. I'm considering getting a ferret this fall if I can find an
apartment that allows pets. I've wanted one since I was 10 (1981) and
played with one in a pet store out west somewhere.
 
Could someone give me some tips as to what to look for, what to watch
out for, and where should I get one? Should I get two? Also, what are
the health problems I can expect? (It seems that the ferrets you
folks have are having some problems) How can I avoid such problems?
I'm on a college student's budget, so I don't have that much money
for hospital visits, etc...
