Announcing the first F.A.C.T. Ferret Frolic to be held in Newington,
CT on Sunday, May 31st - 10 AM to 4 PM.
 
Events will include Lightest and Heaviest Jill and Hob; Longest
Tail; Blackest Nose; Best Mitts; Tube Race; Bag Escape; Floppy Duck
Chase Race; and Best Dressed. 10 places of ribbons (imprinted with
each event and the club name) will be awarded for each of the events
with a couple of special events to be held to allow every ferret an
opportunity to come away with a ribbon! <g>
 
Sponsored by Ferret Association of CT, vendors will also be on hand
offerring typcial ferret (and ferret-people) goodies. There will be
both a "Chinese Auction" fund-raiser to benefit the F.A.C.T. Halfway
House as well as a special "Wishing Well" fundraiser for the NYC
Legal Fund.
 
This is a rain or shine fun show being held indoors at the V.F.W.
Post 9836 - 85 Kitts Lane, Newington (borders the south side of
Hartford).
 
Registration is $5 per ferret which includes an exhibtor entry
ticket for each ferret entered. Programs will be provided upon
arrival with events scehduled throughout the day.

or writing F.A.C.T. - 16 Sherbooke Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106. For
anyone contemplating an overnight, there are two hotels close by
offerring rates of $45.00 Single or Double (Ramada Inn -
Wethersfield - 203-563-2311) and $25.95 Single, $31.95 Double (Motel
6 - Wethersfield - 203-563-5900). And, yes, they do allow pets in
the rooms.
 
All ferrets and their "caretakers" as well as folks interested in
seeing ferrets in action are welcome!
