Oops, maybe I better look again... I corrected that in the published version,
but must have used an earlier version to upload. The correct date for the
"birth" of Ferret Forum" was May 28th, 1987. Yup, Chris, you've got it all over
us as to circulation. We only have 10 sites. The number of readers is high, but
the number of participants is much lower. I've seen a number of FML folk log on
to the system. Chip Gallo is joining Fidonet so he can pick it up. He's listed
in the article (Coral Sea Park BBS) since we hope to see a link-up within the
 week.

The "Big Seven" refers to the 7 online services that carry some form of ferret
chatter. Internet, Compuserve, GEnie, Delphi, Plodigy (er, Prodigy) America
Online and FIDOnet. WWIV would make it 8, but I still have to see how much
coverage the proposed Gateway will provide.(So far, only two systems on WWIV
net carry Ferret Forum. I planned to clarify the "Big 7" mystery in the
remaining chapters. The next chapter deals with FML, Rec.pets and the archives
 at CUNY
and Ferret Forum.

Chere - I tried to call the East Iowa Ferret Assn., but the number had been
 disconnected.
Norm Stilson, the president of GCFA said the phone had been disconnected since
 LONG before the flooding.

That's all for now... Hugga ferret
