Hello again!
I have a kind of strange question that I thought someone
might be able to help me with.
It all started when my girlfriend and I were driving out of her
subdivision and saw a possum acting rather strangly. I know, how
is anyone supposed to tell if a possum is acting strangly?! Well,
this one was walking in circles around one of her children (we could
see three more hanging out of the pouch) and making strange noises.
Later that day we drove by and ran across (not literally, surprisingly
) the mother who had apparently just died. Of course you know what
happens next...
I now have four orphan possums on my hands!
Now to the question! Does ANYone know ANYthing about possible problems
with ferret/possum mixing. I've been keeping them in seperate sections
of the house and washing thoroughly myself thoroughly when moving from
one section to another (this brings back the old days of raising chicks
and mice in the same house). As of now I have no intention of letting
Farah anywhere near the possums but if anyone has information or a
source that I could get a hold of.. Please let me know.
Trevor Smith
and Ruler of
the World,
Farah.
