Well, Sparky the apartment-wall-gorilla ferret is back. I talked to
all the other residents and asked them to contact me if they heard
anything scratching on their walls. At 2am this morning someone knocked
on my door and I went down to their unit with tools in hand. I
started to remove an access panel and before I could get it completely
off he came out running up my arm! He was *very* happy to be out of
the walls. I took him up and fed him a bunch of NutriCal which
he devoured.
Then I realized that he wasn't really drinking, and didn't eat much
other than the NutriCal (read "a treat which he *really* likes).
Next, I realized that he hadn't lost much weight in the 3.5 days
he was gone. In fact, he may be a bit heavier. I figure he took
care of any mice problem we might have had in the building. Not that
I've ever seen any before....
So, our little boy (about 6 months old?) is a practicing
carnivore (sp?). I have a Vet. appointment scheduled for thursday.
I'll have them check to see if there is any strange bacteria or
parasites in his feces. Other than that, I'll just keep a close eye
on the ends of my fingers for a while. :)
Is there anything else I should be concerned about regarding
his recent aberrant diet?
Darel, (who cried with happiness when he got to press a dirty,
smelly ferret upto his face at 2:00 in the morning)
