Hi everyone.
It's been a long time since i have posted anything. Now I have a question.
My baby Abigail, who is now 7months old, was spayed and descented about 2
weeks ago. Before she had the surgery, she was the most loving and
snuggly ferret I have ever seen. She only would nip while playing, but she
would not nip me, only my husband or people she didn't know very well. I
thought she was learning not to nip, because it would happen less and less.
When she did she would get a thump on the nose and get exiled to the
small travel cage for about 10min. This seemed to be working great. But
since she has returned from the vet she bites! She bites hard. I tell
her "NO" and thump her nose, and cage her, but it dosen't seem to help.
She has even started to run up to me and bite my feet. The strangest
thing is that when other people have been around,( which isn't to often
since she has been doing this....All I need is a court case
like the poor Mcdowell's) anyway,,she acts like she used to and even
snuggles some. When she went to get her stiches out, I told the vet's aid
what was going on... all she said was that Abigail was probably going
through a personality change. Does this happen alot? It didn't happen
to my other ferret Brittany or any of the other ferret babies I know.
I just don't know what else to do. I'm afraid for anyone to come over to
my apartment, and I'm tired of bleeding myself...Does anyone have any
suggestions?
Thanks a bunch.
Dona, Brittany ( the sweet baby) and Abigail ( the bad baby).
