As promised, here is the information on the GCFA "Greatest Ferret Show on
Earth"
 
 DATE: SEPTEMBER 11, 1993
 PLACE:  DuPage County Fairgrounds
         2015 Manchester Rd.
         Wheaton IL 60187
 
 Sponsored by:   The Greater Chicago Ferret Association
 Featuring:      Three Open Championship Rings
 Judges:         to be announced (LIFE point ssystem)
 Showtime:       10:00 A.M. The doors open at 7:30 A.M. for setup. Judging
                will start promptly at 10:00 A.M.
 
 Admission:     Spectators --   Adults                          $3.00
                                Children under 12               $1.50
                                Children under 6                Free
                                G.C.F.A. Members                Free
                                Exhibitors and their families   Free
                                Parking                         Free
 Entries:       Open to all ferrets over 12 weeks of age as of the show date.
 Classes:       All ferrets will be judged in class in all three open rings.
                Judging to be in the following order:
 Geriatric Class: This class is open to all ferrets 5 years of age or older.
  Handicap Class: This class is open to all ferrets with a noticeable handi-
cap.
       Kit Class: All kits 12 weeks old,but less than 6 months on the date of
 the show. Spayed / Neutered kits will be judged as whole kits. Kits will not
be judged against adults or alters, nor will Hobs be judged against Jills,
except when  placing  the  top ten  kits.
     Adult Class: All whole ferrets that are 6 months or older on the date of
 the show. Adults will not be judged against kits or alters,nor will Hobs be
 judged against Jills, except when placing the top ten adults.
     Alter Class: All adult ferrets that are 6 months or older on the date of
the show who have been spayed or neutered. Alters will not be judged against
kits or adults, nor will spays be judged against neuters, except when placing
the top ten alters.
 
 BEST OF RING AND BEST OF SHOW WILL BE AWARDED AT APPROXIMATELY 5:00 P.M.
 
 Entry forms must be in our office no later than August 13th, 1993
 
 NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN AT THE DOOR. NO EXECPTIONS!
 
 Exhibitors: Must provide clean cages, litter, litter pans, food dishes and
fresh food and water. I an exhibitor needs more than half of a table, there
will be an  additional charge.
 
 
 Ferrets:    ALL ferrets entering the show hall must have all shots up to
date, be free of fleas, ticks and ear mites and have nails trimmed on all
four paws. Owners will be asked to remove from the hall any ferret that does
not meet these guidelines or appears to be ill. Willful violation of any  of
 these guidelines is grounds for immediate disqualification from the show.
Disqualification for health reasons are not subject to return of entry fees.
Ferrets that are for sale, but not entered in the show, must be at least TEN
weeks of age. There will be no charge to exhibitors who bring kits or older
ferrets to the show and offer them for sale. NO stud service will be
permitted  in  the show  hall. No  pregnant  or nursing jills will be permit-
ted in the show hall. For your protection, we suggest that you have your
ferret vaccinated against rabies with IMRAB.
 
 Ribbons:        Standard flat ribbons will be awarded in all classes
                 in applicable rings for the following:
                 Color:                      First - Tenth Place
                 Breed (Confirmation)        First - Tenth Place
 Flourette:      Will be awarded in each of the following:
                       Adult:          Best Adult -- Tenth Best Adult
                       Alter:          Best Alter -- Tenth Best Alter
                         Kit:          Best Kit -- Tenth Best Kit
 
 AWARDS:      Trophies and other awards will be given where offered. We will
also be awarding a Best of Show to be selected from the Best Kit, Best Alter
and Best Adult from each ring.
 
FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR CRITTERS, PLEASE BE UP TO DATE WITH YOUR CANINE
DISTEMPER VACCINATIONS!
 
In the best interests of the animals, NO pregnant Jills  or kits under 10 weeks
of age will be allowed on the premises.

First 3 adults alters or kits entered before 8/13/93     $12.00 each
Additional adults alters or kits entered before 8/13/93  $ 6.00 each
First 3 adults alters or kits entered after  8/13/93     $15.00 each
Additional adults alters or kits entered after  8/13/93  $ 7.50 each
Geriatric Ring (Ferrets 5 years or older)                $ 5.00 each
