I'm new to the FML, however, recently someone mentioned if anyone
had suggestions for removing odors due to ferret "mistakes"?
I have used a product for a number of years called Odormute. You mix a
very small amount with warm water and the enzyme does the rest. It does
not mask smells but neutralizes them. The trick to "curing" carpeting is to
get the odormute into the carpet pad and then getting carpet+ pad to dry
without mildewing. No small feat as we all know. It has been my best friend.
The odormute can be used in the wash to rid unwanted scents from
clothes, bedding, and even canvas tennis shoes. I've even used the warm
mixture to deodorize household potted plants where the cat has gone.
I have not seen it in many pet stores. I buy my Odormute from a rustic
place that sells wholsale. A small box costs maybe $2.00. Medium $6.00. A
little goes a long way. The box claims that it is ideal for kennels.
I hope this helps someone. Sincerely,
Pickette
