Ron and Liarna, (Pretty name!)
I heard about the biting back from others too. I'm not sure I could handle
that myself. <G> Luckily mine haven't bitten. Anyway my male cat, is still a
kitten, and he only plays with one ferret too. He only plays with the kit.
Part of it is because the one I used to have (Mama) would attack and spray
him. But I have seen Coco (a sprite) lay perfectly still while Nonny, the
kit pulls her around by the neck. And Coco even has her eyes closed and
doesn't move a mustle or even an eyelash. In fact, when I say that I thought
Coco was dead! It scared me silly. So I'm mystified on that.
It seems a bit odd that your cat stopped when he saw Ron looking though.
Guilty...Hmm...I'm going to be watching the replies you get too. Hope
someone knows something.
Karl, I added two ferrets at once. I got them because I thought they were
males. Actually I would have even if I had known they were girls. <g>
But...being a new ferret person, I didn't know how to sex them. The funny
part was that the guy who gave them to me thought they were males for the 8
mos he had them. <G>
Anyway....What I did was do the two cages for a while and let them
intermingle on their own while they were allowed free time. At first there
were a few spats, but slowly they got used to each other. My one who did the
best was still very young. Is yours still young?
Daisy.Lyn...
..and the Wild and Crazy Three!
