Concerning Nutrical -
I took the liberty of referring this question to Charlotte Baer, an
animal nutritionist who works with me at the AFIP. Her remarks, I believe, are
in concert with Dr. Brown's
"This question is not a straightforward one to answer. To determine how
much nutrical is too much would require more information than the person has
provided.
For instance: How old are the ferrets? Are they male or female? What
is their staple diet (very important in determining the contribution of
Nutrical to dietary induced toxicities)? Without that information, my response
would be the following: If the ferrets are on a nutritionally complete feed
(i.e. an extruded or pelleted diet appropriate for ferrets) with no other
extras, supplementation with Nutrical should not be necessary, nor recommended."
