Here in Oregon we see a lot of ferret refugees from California.
Apparently, in the wake of the failed legislative effort, the border
crossings into California have stepped up inspections. I think it was
Needles that was particularly problematic, but I may be wrong on that. I
don't have my OFA newsletter right here at hand. I've also heard that
ferrets confiscated at the border are asphyxiated on the spot. Does
anyone have any hard news on this? Is this true?
