I'm just wondering what the newest and latest techniques for cutting down
on that "ferret smell" are.
I have a 3-4 month old female ferret "Stacy" and she has not been
descented or neutered. Even a few hours after a bath, she seems to give
off a strange odor that kinda annoys some of my guests. She seems to be
very healthy and extremely active.
I'm using a Pet Gold brand shampoo on her, with some kind of ingredient
called D-Limonene which is supposed to neutralize many pet odors. I also
use, first, a bar soap called Flea-Flea, which looks much like
Neutrogena, but has tea leaf extracts, etc. (100% natural) and is
supposed to help keep fleas away.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
-Peter B. Lee, EMT and Stacy, the strange colored ferret
ps. What is her type of coloring called? She has an ivory colored body,
with subtle stripes of brown, black legs, black tail and a very very
faint brown mask (really, no mask at all).
