Brigid (my name for her) was found abandoned in her filthy cage, with
no food or water for sometime. She suffered for weeks, alone, cold,
starving, dehydrated, anemic....slowly suffering to death. I only had
her the last 30 hours of her life. Brigid left our realm... a little
before 1am this morning, surrounded by love and warmth, with my hands
holding her little paws as she didn't want to be held. Her last 30
hours in this realm were spent warm, clean, syringe fed, sub-q fluids,
hugs, cuddles, kisses and enough love to fill her heart. Thank you
Gerri for posting updates on facebook for us. My heart is breaking for
Brigid, but also angry at the callousness and uncaring that she faced
in her final weeks of life. She was 3-4 yrs old judging from her teeth,
and a severely flea anemic, dehydrated starving skeleton covered by
skin and fur. She was so dehydrated the fluids wouldn't absorb...
her body had kept going as long as it could, her will to live the
only reason she was barely alive when found. Her coat was long and
beautifully fluffy.... a stark difference to what her body was. There
are so many if's, if I had gotten her days sooner, if one of the
uncaring creeps that were there at the house during her suffering had
just taken a minute to feed and water her - yes there were people in
there during that time - if her owner had made sure she had enough food
and water to last for her since that creep only came back on weekends -
but not the last 2 weekends that is known.... or perhaps did but didn't
feed or water her. There was no heat so this little innocent laid in
her filthy flea ridden cage with no food or water and no way to get
out. One filthy tattered hammock is all she had as the temperatures
dipped to the 30's, no way for her to get warm or eat or drink. She
suffered so long. I'm searching for Jayme V. Sluder, that's the name on
the house where the starved, dehydrated, flea anemic innocent Brigid
was found. Please help me search to find Sluder. I found one on
facebook and messaged him, but I won't know if it is the same or not,
unless he messages back.

Please take the time to hug your ferrets in memory of one little
innocent that suffered for weeks before finally succumbing to death.

I'll be off-line for a couple of days.
