Hi Lisa,

I've used Pimobendan for going on two years now with my dilated
cardiomyothopy guy. Now truth is, I don't know if it does anything or
not but he's still here almost two years later. But I can tell you it's
safe to use in ferrets. But you must have a diag. Most often they see
dilated cardio when the heart is big and round. It's the most common.
Although I did have one with Hypertrophic years ago. The thing is
without diagnosis, you can't use Pimobendan.

From your post, I think you vet is pretty sure it's dialated. I get
mind from Valley Vet supply as it seems to be the cheapest and mix
it in gravy.
