When my friend bought my first ferret, Rocky, the manager of the small
animals department in Petco told her to get 8-in-1 kibble with raisin
juice because "that's what they like." I fed him that for about 8
months, until he didn't want to eat after I had taken in a rescue. I
had to find a new place for the other ferret. Then I bought a different
food for Rocky, not sure what it was, tried many others after that and
continue to do so. Fortunately, about 1 1/2 yr. after getting Rocky, I
joined this list and learned lots of good things from both reading
the list and getting emails from the many kind caring people here. I
continue to learn new things about ferrets from people here. The list
also prompted me to do my own research. I don't know what I would have
done without this list, as nearly all the vets here are very young and
inexperienced with ferrets. Also, I have no contact with any other
people who have ferrets.

So thanks, Bill, for doing this work, and thank you to the many
wonderful people I've met here. It is the only community I truly feel
part of. [BIG, hope to meet you the next time you're in the city.]
