Iwanted to comment on her about the conditions of the ferrets that I
took in from Apollo PA. They all seem healthy except for the girl they
said had no teeth. She does have teeth but they are all rotten, She is
on antibiotics and will be getting surgery for her teeth. One of the
boys has poop caked on to the bottom of his feet and we soaked them and
got it off. All of the ferrets are being treated for bad feet as they
were standing in thier own waste for far too long. They are all very
excited to be here. My hubby had to throw away their two hammics, which
were the only thing in the cage, because he was getting sick from the
smell of them. He also stopped at the car wash on the way home because
the cage was caked in waste. I can say that they have never missed a
meal, they are all plump except for the girl with rotten teeth, but she
was chowing down last night like crazy. We are thrilled to have them
here. I think they really needed us and I am very glad that I responded
to the listing on the FML. I also want to say that though there are
bickering sometimes on the FML, that this was a rescue that should be
credited to the FML. This is why it exist, is to help all ferrets. I
thank you for putting the info out so that these babies could be saved.
If it hadn't been for Jackie and the FML we would have never known
about these babies that needed help.
Thank you to everyone who cared and who helped get these babies to
a safe place,
