I chanced to read Craig'sList a few days ago and read about a ferret
bitten by a dog and the owner's problem getting treatment. She did have
about 1/3 of what was required, up front, by our only emergency ferret
vet hospital and she is asking for small donations to help re-pay the
organization who helped her get the surgery done to save the ferret. I
am posting this with permission. I took over a playpen and chicken
gravy because Falcor won't be able to eat his ZuPreem for a while. The
woman is generally a responsible pet owner. As others know, things can
happen. Now she knows better. Please don't flame her, they are in
enough stress already. The ferrets are well cared for and I can't
criticize she and her BF for anything, except the house is pretty small
and the animals got out together somehow.

If we all chip in a small donation it would be so helpful. Falcor is
a dark-eyed white, not a sable like in the Jake and Jasper ferret
movie, but very sweet, a nice big boy. His eye has returned to normal
position, but there are many small stitches inside the mouth and some
at the right side. Thanks to any and all who can help out.
