We have had several ferrets that were suspected of stroke. ... sudden
onset head tilt, circling, difficulty eating/ drinking. We used high
doses of steroids for several days and then titrated down, syringed
nutrition/ hydration. Either we had really good luck or the steroids
were the answer. We have also had sililiar symptoms that were caused
by ruptured eardrums- we used prophalactic antibiotics and short term
steroids- eardrums take a while to resolve.
