Well I am sad to say the two vets I use for ferrets would not provide
me with the Ivermection for heart worm prevention! I have 5 ferrets
and an 11 year old daughter who is growing like a weed and eats like
a horse! Revolution is not in my budget! One wanted $50 a month for
Revolution the other $95 a month.
Am I correct that Ivermectin can be compounded into a liquid that I
can give my ferrets orally once a month, right? I thought I might have
misunderstood or something. Why would you turn a client down to prevent
heart worm? I outright told both doctors I simply could not afford
that. My feelings were hurt and I feel angry as I want to take good
care of my ferrets. I have first hand seen what heart worm does to a
ferret through a foster ferret I cared for. Just the most awful thing
ever.
Will I need a prescription for this to be compounded for me? I have a
few days off from work so I thought hey, I'll go pick this up! Ha!
Thank for for your time and consideration!
