We all know how there comes a time that our favorite fuzzy or any other
pet in our household becomes ill and has to have medication and of
course we know all too well they have no insurance to cover it. So sad
to say they may have to go without or when that prescription is out we
cannot refill it due to lack of funds plus the fact their meds seem to
cost so much!!! One day I got a card in the mail....the card had no
name on it just a pharmacy discount card to be used by anyone and with
unlimited uses... I had my husband use it for one of his meds not
covered under insurance... lo and behold .... the med only cost 15.00
but he only had to pay 6.99.... so I researched on the internet rx
discount cards for pets... There are lots of them!!! I printed one
of them out and when I went to get a prescription filled (generic
PediaPred (Prednisolone 6.7/5 ml 120 ml bottle) at Rite Aid I was
amazed at what I paid: Normal cost at Rite Aid: 48.00, cost w/card:
22.00. 

So when it came time to refill I transferred the prescription to
Walmart (who I usually use)... Normal cost at Walmart: 29.32, cost
w/card: 17.99. ( www.petmedicationcard.com )

I called on the card I received in the mail (laminated card) I was
wondering if this could also be used on pets also... sure enough it
does!!! ( www.rxreliefcard.com )

Just wanted to share. It can be used on any med that is FDA approved.
Cathy R asked a good question... can it be used at compounding
pharmacies.... I didn't know and I think she was going to call and
find out.

These cards are just what we needed for our beloved pets and a heaven
sent for people who do not have rx insurance. Just take prescription
and card to pharmacy (they are honored at just about all pharmacies)
and see the savings. If you do have insurance for yourself it is
advised to compare both ways... it may be cheaper using the discount
rx card....
