It looks like I will have one invasive eye operation this year AT MOST
and MIGHT NOT EVEN NEED THAT! Much better than possibly needing three
this year. I responded well to a med tried.
So, now I will have two months till my next assessment of a med in that
eye twice a day, and three times a day I will do a type of pressure
application to break adhesions in the bleb. That is a little uncomfy
but livable.
The remaining pain turns out to be from the adhesions pulling the bleb.
I am very prone to adhesions and keloids, and already have to do PT
several times a week to break them in my feet.
If the combo fails to keep my eye's pressure under good enough control
then I will need what is called bleb needling to allow the bleb to fill
properly.
The cataract in the right eye is growing slowly enough that unless that
changes or it dislodges I can just live with it till it worsens enough.
Also, since I am completely fine with wearing glasses when I do need
the cataract done I will go with an implanted lens that will leave me
nearsighted but less nearsighted. That means the correction will be
close enough to the left eye that I will not need surgery on the left
until something goes enough wrong to require it. If I wanted to correct
for having normal sight then I would no choice except to have both eyes
done.
Also, I am allowed to try lifting weights that are higher than what I
had been restricted to lifting, so I am VERY HAPPY about that because
I absolutely love lifting!
