For the Love of Ferrets

We get up early to give morning meds,
we do this day in and day out.
We do all of this, and oh so much more,.
for loving our ferrets is what it's about.

There's cleaning of cages, the tears and the rages,
to make sure our ferrrets stay clean.
We cuddle the biters,they just not like others,
we know that they aren't really mean.

Then there's the payback, our hearts know the way back,
from sadness, the grief, and the tears.
Our hearts have been captured, now we know the rapture,
we'll love them for all of our years.
