Because we do not know if ferrets can get this but do share multiple
illnesses w dogs I am sending this link.

Note the the humans who have this dog have been described as having
influenza like symptoms. Ferrets get actual influenza from people --
and it can go in the other direction though that is much less common --
so people with those types of symptoms should already protect their
ferrets from themselves. This is yet another reason to be careful if
those symptoms appear in people.

If a ferret shows symptoms like these dogs, or a dog does, you have
get to a veterinarian promptly!
