Be careful to not confuse studies in which mineral oil is used an a
vehicle for an ADDED impurity, (such as in the given PubMed citation)
with what is present in the normal foodgrade mineral oil. Mineral oil
of food grade level makes a good matrix for conveying a whole range
of things partly because it is rather innocuous so the effects of the
studied additive can be better isolated for study.

Personally, on their skin I prefer olive oil be used when an oil is
needed, but... That is also a good moisturizer for human skin, as is
washing with whole milk. Sometimes there are some very ancient and
affordable solutions that still work well.
