I got an email from a party wondering when her beds were getting there
- I might have been remiss in announcing the times - I did get a load
out before Christmas and then inbetween Christmas and New Years. We had
a ferret auction which took my time from then to 1-8 (it was articles
that were turned in with the ferrets and some people donated unique
things and donated them) we made $2300 which covers 1 1/2 month's worth
of vet bills for us...........but talk about work. That just about did
me in and while I saved for 6 months articles that were like new or
useful or sets of matching hammocks that came from different sources,
you could not miss them out of the garage.
I THOUGHT I had written it would be the end of Jan before I got the
last load mailed - I did go get them (far away) and got the extra tall
horse trailer stacked full, every crack and cranny and apartment. Had
to unload though as I maybe going to pick up a horse this afternoon so
now the garage is full again and barely room for my van. I had a week
here to run errands getting things I let go caught up and now needing
to get volunteers here who will help with packing these things. It
takes 2 people at least to get 18 into one box and that is stuffing it.
The thing with Texas Ferret Lovers Rescue is the many volunteers that
jump in to help with these projects or we would not be able to do the
things we do.
So I am hoping by this week to get another load out maybe if not it
will be next week. I have them stacked to the ceiling again. It's
another 600 to distribute.
I'll announce when I do another mailing - sorry for delay, not
procrastinating just too much for a 68 year old lady to do things like
she used to be able to do.
I guess this is my punishment, I used to think older people didn't do
as much cause they just didn't want to, not that they couldn't. Walk
in someone else's shoes and I sure can learned a lot.
